Postcommodity
Harpo Foundation is pleased to support It Wasnt the Dream of Golden Cities, on view August 1, 2010 to January 3, 2011 at The Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (MoCNA). This series of site-specific installations, exhibition, and related programming has been developed by MoCNAs Chief Curator, Ryan Rice (Mohawk) and Postcommodity, an interdisciplinary American Indian artist collective comprised of Raven Chacon (Navajo), Kade L. Twist (Cherokee), Steven Yazzie (Laguna/Navajo) and Nathan Young (Delaware/Kiowa/Pawnee).

Postcommodity works to advance Indigenous cultural self-determination and decolonization within the global climate of instability, ethnocentric violence, and neo-liberalism. It Wasnt the Dream of Golden Cities incites forms of intervention, re-action and response to Santa Fes 400th Anniversary and the citys annual Indian Market. (Source: MoCNA grant proposal)
