The Grants for Visual Artists award provides direct support of up to $10,000 to under-recognized visual artists. To select award recipients, we rely on the expertise of independent professional advisors, including regional, national, and international experts across a wide range of disciplines. Each application is reviewed by at least three advisors. Finalist applications are reviewed by a minimum of five advisors, as well as internal staff and committees, over the course of four rounds of consideration. Beginning in 2026 and every three years thereafter, the Foundation will share the names of its esteemed advisors without attribution to a specific year.
