Since 2011, the foundation has awarded two residency fellowships to Native American visual artists at the Vermont Studio Center to support the development of visual artists and the potential for inter-cultural dialog.
In 2020, in accordance with Ed Levine’s bequest, this program is now endowed as the Harpo Foundation Native American Residency at Vermont Studio Center and will provide two full residency fellowships each year in perpetuity.
A third fellowship opportunity called Harpo Foundation Endowment at Vermont Studio Center will provide one full residency fellowship to an artist or writer each year in perpetuity.
